A Whiz-Lock Nut is the brand name for a reusable, serrated flange lock nut. When tightened, the nut’s serrated flange (protruding rim) “bites” into the mating part and creates a strong grip, making the nut resistant to being loosened by vibrations or torque (twisting). It can be used without a washer.
